Even In Darkness

I Can Shine

...so you wanna know more about my graphics, huh?
I’m not entirely sure when I started, but it was around the start of 2006. Give or take a few months. My first graphics were terrible, I’ve seen some people start out and get it straight away, but I didn’t. But at that time, the sites I went on didn’t have any major art sections, so I didn’t look at any others really, just basic ones.

I’d say I started properly at the start of 2007 so there was about a years gap. I can’t really remember what kind of graphics I was doing. I think it was basically Manips though, like adding extra arms to people, extra heads etc. I wasn’t getting much better though.

I started playing around more and more with Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop, making more banner type things then.

I couldn’t get on my computer really for a while, or I didn’t go on, I can’t remember, but when I went back on later in the year, I started doing more advanced banners [though looking now, they’re simple, but it was advanced to me at the time].

In about February/March 2008. I started really getting into graphics. I started experimenting more, and doing more mainly down to Heather a.k.a Lothy/Feathers x] She put a thread up with some of her Graphics, her banners, and it eventually turned into a request thread. Her banners inspired me and I thought they were amazing [still do, you can go visit her at
Incendiary Glance ] and decided I wanted to try to get as good as her.

So her I owe a lot to her for helping me out as she’s given me some excellent advice/tips etc and helped me improve majorly.
Frazzily is Featherys apprentice <3 xD

I started doing banners properly then. Not good ones. See here . They were just images pasted beside each other with text. Clicky! Nothing complicated.
Then, with some help from Feathers I started erasing the background of the images and playing around with Layers. Here and here .
I didn't start actually blending the images in my banners properly, until around April/May 2008.  Clicky!
The reason for this [along with even more tips from feathers ] was partly AU and its absolutely awesome graphic makers. Everywhere I looked everyone hadh brilliant banners and I started looking around the request pages and requested a few banners. I loved them, all the graphics were just... absolutely amazing, there's no other word for it.
I'd actually gone on AU mainly for the RP's {& LotRness of course x]} but have ended up spending most of my time in the graphic sections :)

Digital Art is a huge part of my life now. Experimenting as much as I can and sticking with what I know when I just want to do something quickly, that I know I can do distracts me when needed, and helps pass the time, and it's something I just love doing and enjoy tonnes. <3 See here for a full list of people who've helped<3 *Clicky!*

So there you have it!.
Peace out and Rock on<3
